A quick trip around the periodic table

Everyone is familiar with at least some of the elements on the Periodic Table. Hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, iron and carbon are well known, their importance is often fairly obvious, and we’d have a hard time living without them. But are the lesser-known elements such as indium, technetium, gadolinium and americium important, and if so, why? In this talk, Allan will (very quickly!) traverse the 118 elements known at the present time, show why each and every one of them is interesting, and hopefully, pique your interest in that wonderful science called Chemistry.
